How much does a hyena sleep?
Followit makes various kinds of GPS collars for positioning wild animals for research purposes. They’re sold worldwide under the well-know name Tellus. The latest generation of GPS collars make it possible to follow and study foxes, lynx and other small animals. The smallest collar weighs only 215 grams (including drop-off).
The collars can be equipped with a number of different sensors and other special equipment for studying specific bodily functions and behaviour.
In addition, a large selection of technology and services are available for transmitting data from the animal to the researcher’s computer – including satellite technology for tracking larger animals in remote areas that are not easily accessible.
